Printmaking Residency with Emily Thiessen

In May 2024, C.R.A.F.T. welcomed Emily Thiessen for a residency in which we collaboratively produced our first print edition using Emily's design and inks made at the studio. We focused on natural ink formulas, colour mixing and found that two full layers of carbon black yielded a rich, deep surface. In addition, we started an experiment in the garden with an environmentally friendly temporary street art paint formula using just two ingredients.
